Sangre de María (La Valeriana) is a revolutionary artist, storyteller and producer based in Barcelona. Sangre’s cinematic songs illustrate immersive universes inspired by the politics and biodiversity of the natural world. Their intoxicating music explores real and fantastical jungles, deep oceans, lavish fields of herb, and is even witness to the fiery end of humanity as we know it. As a result, her songs are  an organic amalgam of musical styles from all around the world, never tied to any one genre and never twice the same. Although her tales boast a playful air, Sangre instinctively interpolates politically haunting messages. Sonorous collages of drums, synthesizers, and samples of old songs and speeches open a rhythmic dialogue between the past, present, and future.
